Husker receiver Quincy Enunwa was taken by the New York Jets in the sixth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday.
It capped a memorable day for Enunwa, who picked up his degree earlier in the day at UNL's spring commencement.
Enunwa caught a school-record 12 touchdown passes last season, breaking the touchdown record in style, hauling in a Nebraska record 99-yard touchdown pass to provide the winning touchdown in the Huskers' Gator Bowl victory over Georgia. Overall, Enunwa caught 51 passes for a team-leading 753 yards in 2013. He finished his career with 115 receptions for 1,526 yards and 15 touchdowns. His 115 career receptions are sixth in Nebraska history while his receiving yardage total ranks seventh.
Iowa linebacker Anthony Hitchens was selected by the Cowboys in Saturday's fourth round.
Friday night, Huskers' cornerback Stanley Jean-Baptiste was drafted by the Saints and guard Spencer Long by the Redskins. Hawkeye tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz was selected by the Texans and Iowa State linebacker Jeremiah George went to the Jets.
