Drake got a little help from UNO and added another second-half score while Kalena Litch made two saves in keeping the Mavericks off the scoreboard in a 2-0 Bulldogs' win Sunday afternoon in Des Moines. The Mavs remain winless at 0-7.
Drake (6-2) took a 1-0 lead at 55:36 on an own goal by the Mavericks. Brittany Schuling added an insurance tally at 85:44 after her free kick hit the crossbar and crossed the line.
The Bulldogs out-shot UNO 16-3 overall and 8-3 in shots on goal. Meaghan Clark made six saves in goal for the Mavs.
