Michael Marnell scored twice to lead Des Moines to a 4-2 win over the slumping Lancers Sunday evening at Ralston Arena.
Omaha has now dropped nine of its last 13 games, going 4-8-1 during that stretch.
The Buccaneers took a 1-0 lead when James Roll unleashed a slap shot from the left point that beat goaltender Cole Bruns high to the glove side at 15:42.
The Lancers scored twice in the second period. Trent Samuels-Thomas backhanded in his fifth goal of the season at 8:03 and Matias Cleland's power play goal at 14:41 put Omaha ahead 2-1.
Des Moines would roar back with three goals in the third. Seth Adams tied the game at the 2:31 mark, chipping in his seventh goal of the year. The Buccaneers then took the lead at 16:04 on Marnell's 13th of the year and iced the game on Marnell's empty-net goal at 19:11.
