Jasmine Penny scored 21 points and Megan Rogowski chipped in 16 points to lead DePaul to an 80-66 win over Creighton Sunday afternoon in Chicago.
A 7-for-31 (23 percent) shooting performance by Creighton in the first half, including 0-for-10 from beyond the arc, led to a 38-21 halftime deficit. Still, the Bluejays were down just 21-18 with 4:10 remaining before DePaul closed the period on a 17-3 run.
The Bluejays pulled to within 58-53 before the Blue Demons took control by scoring the next 10 points.
McKenzie Fujan led the Jays with 18 points, Marissa Janning added 16 and Sarah Nelson had 14.
The loss dropped Creighton to 14-10 and 8-4 in the Big East while DePaul improved to 19-5 and 10-2 in conference play.
