OMAHA, Neb. - Despite claiming the Ameritas Classic Championship last weekend with a 3-0 win over Rutgers on Sept. 2 and a 1-1 draw with No. 7 Akron on Aug. 31, the Creighton men's soccer team dropped a spot to No. 3 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll.
The Jays remained the top-ranked team in the NSCAA Midwest Regional Rankings. The remaining four national polls have the Jays in varying spots throughout the Top-15. Creighton is ranked No. 8 by Soccer America, No. 4 by Soccer Times, No. 12 by College Soccer News and No. 5 by TopDrawer Soccer.
This week the Jays hit the road for the first time as Creighton travels to Northern California for a back-to-back contests this weekend. The Bluejays open the weekend at Santa Clara on Friday, Sept. 7 at 9 p.m. (CT). Creighton remains in the Bay area to battle Saint Mary's on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 5 p.m. (CT).
