Creighton ended its season-opening series with a 7-1 loss at Arkansas-Little Rock Sunday to complete the weekend sweep.
Down 2-0 after the first inning, the Bluejays (0-3) got on the board in the top of the second with three straight hits. Reagan Fowler got things going with a one-out infield single, Kevin Lamb singled and Brett Murray doubled to score Fowler. Lamb was thrown out at the plate.
The Trojans plated four runs in the the third on three infield singles and a Mitchell Scheuler home run to push the lead to 6-1. They would add a run in the seventh.
Austin Groth took the loss (0-1) for the Bluejays, allowing six runs on eight hits and a walk in 2.1 innings. The Trojans got seven strong innings from Cameron Allen (1-0) as he held the Jays to one run on three hits.
