An assault case involving former-Husker and current New England Patriots rookie defensive back Alfonzo Dennard has been scheduled for next month.
The trial has twice been delayed since April 21, when Dennard was arrested outside a bar in Lincoln, where he played cornerback for Nebraska.
Dennard has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of assaulting an officer and to two related misdemeanors.
Dennard's trial is scheduled to begin Feb. 11. That's eight days after the Super Bowl is played at the Superdome in New Orleans.
The Patriots face the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC championship game on Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
