Clouse Becomes Oldest State Amateur Champion

54-year-old David Clouse became the oldest golfer to win the Nebraska Men's Amateur Championship on Thursday.
Clouse shot a final round of 66 at the Norfolk Country Club. The golfer from Friend, Nebraska ended up at 13-under-par. Clouse made six birdies in the final round to win his second State Amateur title.
Clouse also won the championship in 1999.
Clouse said he was thrilled to win it again "I have won this before I know what it means to win it and its very very special honor to win it. I sat down with my teacher a year ago in the wintertime and outlined some goals back then and this was one of them he kinda of raised his eyebrows and looked at me like you really think you can win this thing I said well yeah I want to give it go so I am just thrilled I was able to win thrilled that I was able to play well today."
