Two second-half goals lifted the Creighton women to a 2-1 win over North Dakota State in the Jays' final exhibition game of the season Saturday afternoon in Rosemount, Minnesota.
Down 1-0 after the first half, the Bluejays tied the game on an unassisted goal from sophomore Kirstyn Corder in the 60th minute. Corder beat NDSU keeper Sierra Bonham on a slot kick to the lower left corner of the goal at 59:50.
Just under eight minutes later, Creighton took the lead on a goal by senior Lauren Cingoranelli, who took a pass from freshman Lauren Sullivan and sent it into the lower right corner of the net at 67:47.
CU out-shot the Bison 15-6, including 8-2 in the second half.
Creighton opens the regular season next Friday at Utah State.
