Nebraska coach Bo Pelini was not injured in an accident that occurred while he was driving to La Vista for a booster dinner Wednesday night.
According to Lincoln police, Pelini was driving in Lincoln about 6 p.m. when the front end of his SUV was struck by an SUV attempting to turn left on a yellow signal at 34th and Old Cheney Road. The other driver was not injured, but was ticketed.
Pelini's vehicle sustained about $3,500 in damage and couldn't be driven. Nebraska Athletic Department spokesman Keith Mann said another vehicle was taken to the accident scene and Pelini continued on his way to the booster dinner at the La Vista Embassy Suites, where he discussed the 2012 recruiting class.
