Bluejays Down Drake In Three

Creighton remained tied with Northern Iowa atop the Missouri Valley Conference with a 3-0 (25-23, 25-14, 25-11) sweep of Drake Saturday night at D.J. Sokol Arena.

Leah McNary topped CU with 12 kills on a career-high .579 hitting. Kate Elman led CU's defensive effort, finishing with 14 digs and Brooke Boggs and Ashley Jansen had 12 and 10 digs, respectively.

Heather Thorson, Megan Bober and Savannah Smith tied for the team-lead with three blocks while Bober added 31 assists and seven digs. CU hit .354 and finished with 45 kills, four aces, 54 digs and eight blocks.

Drake was paced by eight kills from Katie Dulek, who also hit a team-best .438 in 16 swings. Sarah Madden led DU with 15 digs and served up a match-high three aces. The Bulldogs tallied 28 kills, six aces, 39 digs and three blocks while hitting .073.

Creighton (11-2, 3-0 MVC) has now won 21 straight sets at home over the Bulldogs (1-12, 0-3 MVC).
