Creighton avenged its lone conference loss of the season with a 3-1 (25-22, 25-14, 20-25, 25-19) win over Butler Sunday afternoon at D.J. Sokol Arena.
Kelli Browning tied her season-high with 15 kills on .385 hitting while also providing a team-best five blocks. Leah McNary had 14 kills while Jess Bird had 10 kills and tied her season-high with 18 digs.
Michelle Sicner tied a school-record with her eighth straight double-double, finishing with 44 assists, 10 digs, five kills and four blocks. Kate Elman shared match-high accolades with 18 digs and three aces.
Creighton (14-4, 5-1 Big East) tallied 58 kills, five aces, 70 digs and nine blocks on .221 hitting.
Butler (16-5, 3-3 Big East) finished with 43 kills, seven aces, 50 digs and 14 blocks on .174 hitting. Belle Obert topped the visitors with 13 kills, one more than Stephanie Kranda. Brooke Ruffolo had 17 digs while Morgan Peterson finished with 34 assists, eight digs, four kills and four blocks.
