Nebraska out-hit second-ranked Oregon State 15-13, but it was the Beavers coming away with a 15-7 win Saturday afternoon in Tempe, Arizona.

Oregon State (2-0) took advantage of 11 walks issued by Nebraska (1-1) pitchers while OSU didn’t issue a free pass.

The game was scoreless until the third when the Beavers scored four runs on five singles off NU starter Aaron Bummer (0-1). They would add three more runs in the fourth for a 7-0 lead before the Huskers answered with run in the bottom of the frame when Steven Reveles scored on a single by Pat Kelly after leading off the inning with a double.

The Huskers were down 8-2 heading into the eighth, but the Beavers plated seven runs on just two hits as NU pitchers gave up seven walks in the inning.

The Huskers scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth, all with two outs. Kelly finished a perfect 5-for-5 with four singles and a triple.
