CenturyLink Center To Host Tom Osborne Tribute

The University of Nebraska announced Friday it will host “A Tribute To Tom: Night Of Legends Gala,” honoring former Husker coach and athletic director Tom Osborne, at CenturyLink Center Omaha on March 9th.

Osborne will be honored for his contributions to Nebraska and college football. The event will be emceed by ESPN College Football Gameday host Chris Fowler and ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe.

The evening will feature interviews, video features and “sideline reports” with special guests in attendance. Those planning to attend include Bo Pelini, Barry Alvarez, Barry Switzer, Bill Snyder, Scott Frost, Irving Fryar, Charlie McBride, Craig Bohl, Eric Crouch, Johnny Rodgers, Mike Rozier, Dennis Haysbert and Bob Stoops.

Entertainment will include performances from the Legends of Las Vegas celebrity tribute artists for Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra and Neil Diamond. The New Century Dance Company will also perform a unique style of shadow dancing.

Tables for the tribute range from $2,500 to $10,000 and individual tickets range from $250-$1,000 with proceeds going to The Teammates Mentoring Program, the foundation Tom and Nancy Osborne established in 1991, and the new NU Athletic Research Center for Study of Brain and Sport Performance.
