The Omaha Gladiators won the 12 year old Major Division of the Nebraska USSSA tournament Tuesday at Omaha's Seymour Smith Park.
The Gladiators defeated the Frozen Ropes Tigers 9-4 in the Championship game. The tournament was to be completed July 4th but steady rain forced a two day delay.
The Gladiators went 3 and 1 in pool play then won 3 games Tuesday to capture the title. The same team won the 11 year old division last year.
Frozen Ropes will travel this week to Tulsa for the Global Sports Tournament while the Gladiators advance to Global Sports Series in Des Moines next week.
