Embry-Riddle scored seven runs over the final three innings for a 9-5 win over Bellevue Sunday night in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Francisco Rosario went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Bruins. Jon Reed went 3-for-5 with a run scored and Matt Kabele finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Maxx Catapano took the loss, giving up five earned runs while striking out three batters in 5.1 innings of work.

The Bruins struck quickly with a run in the first after Kabele reached on a walk, advanced to third on a throwing error by ERAU pitcher Ryan Vigue and then scored on a wild pitch.

The Eagles tied the game in the bottom of the second on an RBI single by Keaton Stroud. EARU took its first lead when Austin Goolsby led off the bottom of the fourth inning with a home run over the left field line to give the Eagles a 2-1 advantage.

The Bruins regained the lead at 3-2 in the top of the sixth after Chad Lambert's single resulted in two unearned Bellevue runs. Embry-Riddle quickly responded with three runs in the bottom half of the sixth on four hits, including a triple by J.T. Warmoth.

Bellevue tied the game at 5-5 in the top of the seventh on a two-RBI double by Rosario to left field. Once again, the Eagles responded in the bottom of the seventh scoring three runs, two of which were unearned, to take an 8-5 lead.

ERAU added an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth after Steve Sabins was hit by a pitch, stole both second and third and came home on a ground out by Alex Guzman.

The loss dropped the Bruins to 3-2 on the season while the Eagles improved to 10-3 overall.
