Erik Haula scored two goals and Matt White posted three assists in the Lancers 5-3 win Saturday night at Cedar Rapids.

Omaha scored three times in the game’s first nine-and-a-half minutes. Haula tallied his two goals in the first five minutes before Camden Wojtala’s marker at 9:25 was enough to chase Cedar Rapids goaltender Matt Hemingway.

The RoughRiders bounced back and cut the deficit to 3-2 before intermission on goals by Michael Parks and Jeff Costello.

The Lancers used the power play in the second period to put the game out of reach. Seth Ambroz scored his eighth goal of the season and CJ Ludwig scored his third power-play goal of the year to make it 5-2 Omaha.

Cedar Rapids got back on the scoreboard late in the third period on Eric Robinson’s fifth goal of the season.

The Lancers improved to 17-3 and continue to lead both the West Division and overall USHL standings with 34 points.
