Cory Aldridge knocked a pair of home runs leading the Royals to an 8-3 win over Oklahoma City in game one of a doubleheader Sunday at Rosenblatt Stadium. The RedHawks took game two 4-2.

Omaha wasted no time against Bryan Corey (6-7), scoring three times in the first inning of game one. Brian Buchanan singled in two runners and Scott Thorman doubled home a third run.

The RedHawks scored twice in the second to cut the lead to 3-2, but the Royals added single tallies in the second on a Tug Hulett sac fly and leading off the third on Aldridge's 18th home run of the season.

He would hit number 19 leading off the fifth. Mario Lisson would later double in two more runs, helping Chris Nicoll (1-1) pick up his first win.

The RedHawks jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second game. Lisson's two-run homer to center in the ninth cut the deficit in half, but it was all the offense the Royals could muster.

Elizardo Ramirez (8-10) was the winner and Chris Chavez (0-1) the losing pitcher.
