Run In The Ninth Lifts Royals To 5-4 Win
Cory Aldridge's single scored Irving Falu from second in the bottom of the ninth to give the Royals a 5-4 win over Oklahoma City Saturday night at Rosenblatt Stadium.

Cory Aldridge's single scored Irving Falu from second in the bottom of the ninth to give the Royals a 5-4 win over Oklahoma City Saturday night at Rosenblatt Stadium.

Omaha took a 3-1 lead with three runs in the third inning. Tug Hulett singled in one run and Brian Buchanan singled home two more.

After the RedHawks made it a 3-2 game in the top of the fifth, the Royals went up 4-2 in the home half of the frame when Scott Thorman singled home Hulett.

Oklahoma City tied it in the seventh. Justin Smoak walked and Chris Davis singled. Brandon Boggs scored Smoak with a single and Davis came home on Royce Huffman's sacrifice fly to center.

Jason Godin (1-0) got the win and A.J. Murray (2-2) was charged with the loss.
