Beavers Bop Omaha 7-1
Tug Hulett hit his 10th home run of the season in the first inning, but it was all down hill from there as the Beavers beat up on the Royals 7-1 Monday afternoon in Portland.

Tug Hulett hit his 10th home run of the season in the first inning, but it was all down hill from there as the Beavers beat up on the Royals 7-1 Monday afternoon in Portland.
The Beavers scored in five of the final six innings to pull away. Peter Ciofrone capped off the scoring in the eighth with his fifth homer.
Tim Hamulack (2-3) replaced starter Heath Phillips in the second and was charged with the loss. Wade LeBlanc (3-9) got the win.
The Royals head to Tacoma to open a four-game series starting Tuesday night.
