The Royals broke open a close game with six runs in the sixth inning to beat Las Vegas 8-4 Saturday night at Rosenblatt Stadium.

With Omaha leading 2-1 (one of the runs coming on Cory Aldridge's 15th home run of the season), Luis Hernandez singled to start the sixth and scored on Aldridge's double. Kila Ka'aihue then singled Aldridge home to make it 4-1 Royals.

After Brian Wolfe replaced T. J. Beam (6-3) for the 51s, Jordan Parraz singled to put runners on first and second. After Chris Lubanski flied out, the Royals knocked three straight doubles. Mario Lisson doubled in Ka'aihue and John Suomi doubled home Parraz and Lisson. Irving Falu then doubled in Suomi and it was an 8-1 game.

Las Vegas closed the gap in the ninth on Angel Sanchez's three-run homer. Gil Meche (1-1) went five innings for the win.
