Royals Lose in New Orleans
New Orleans pounded 4 home runs in a 6-2 victory. Kyle Davies (3-1) gave up 3 runs in the 1st inning – 2 coming on Cameron Maybin’s 3rd homer of the season – as the Zephyrs took a 3-1 lead. Davies wound up allowing 4 runs on 5 hits, 2 of them round-trippers, in 5.0 innings.

New Orleans pounded 4 home runs in a 6-2 victory. Kyle Davies (3-1) gave up 3 runs in the 1st inning – 2 coming on Cameron Maybin’s 3rd homer of the season – as the Zephyrs took a 3-1 lead. Davies wound up allowing 4 runs on 5 hits, 2 of them round-trippers, in 5.0 innings. Jai Miller had 3 hits for the Z’s, including a pair of solo homers. Miller and John Lindsey each went deep off Yasuhiko Yabuta in the 6th inning as New Orleans went on top 6-1. J.R. House hit the Royals’ only dinger, coming with nobody on base in the 7th inning, to close out the scoring. Clay Hensley (5-2) went 7.0 solid innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, with Luis Ayala and Jarrett Santos each tossing a perfect frame to finish the 4-hitter.
