The Royals bounced back to earn a split of Sunday's doubleheader in Oklahoma City, winning the nightcap 4-1 after dropping the opener 3-2.

With the score tied 1-1, J. R. House walked to lead off the third inning and Scott Thorman singled him to third. After Kila Ka'aihue flew out to left, Mario Lisson singled in House. Travis Metcalf then singled to bring home Thorman and the Royals led 3-1.

They made it 4-1 an inning later when House singled in Irving Falu from second base. Kyle Davies (3-0) got the win and Josh Rupe (1-6) took the loss.

In the opener, Esteban German singled home Josh Hamilton in the eighth to give the RedHawks a 3-2, come-from-behind win.

Hamilton tripled to left to lead off the inning against Chris Hayes (1-3), who entered the game an inning earlier with a 2-0 Omaha lead and men on first and second. Royce Huffman doubled home German to make it 2-1 and Casey Benjamin’s sacrifice fly plated Justin Smoak to tie the score.

After a scoreless six innings, House greeted reliever Orlando Hernandez (2-0) in the seventh with a single and came around to score on Thorman’s triple. Ka'aihue followed with a sacrifice fly to put the Royals up 2-0.
