The deal between the Royals and Sarpy County to build a new stadium became final on Wednesday.

As of 5 p.m., the contract approved on March 17th became final and plans to build the ballpark at Highway 370 and 120th Street are moving forward.

The Royals agreed to contribute $2.35 million toward construction of the stadium and more than half of the $20.3 million forecast over the life of the 25-year contract to retire the debt.
