Mitch Jones' first inning grand slam sent the 51s on their way to an 11-6 win over the Royals Wednesday night in Las Vegas.

Mitch Maier knocked a two-run homer for Omaha, but it wasn't nearly enough as Brandon Duckworth (3-11) surrendered six runs, seven hits and five walks in five innings.

Jeff Fulchino relieved him and gave up four hits, three runs and a walk in just one inning of work.

Devon Lowery was next and Vegas tagged him for two runs, five hits and three walks over the last two innings.

B. J. LaMura (1-1) got the win for the 51s.
