The Royals started their road trip by scoring in every inning but one, banging out 20 hits in a 17-5 romp over Las Vegas Tuesday night.
Jason Smith hit the first of four Omaha home runs on the night by blasting his 19th in the first inning, a three-run shot.
Ryan Shealy hit a two-run homer in the third and two batters later, Brian Buchanan went deep to put the Royals up 7-0.
Mike Stodolka knocked his fifth in the fifth for a 9-0 advantage.
The Royals scored in every inning but the sixth and batted around in the eighth inning when they scored five times.
Brad Salmon (7-4) benefitted from the offensive explosion. Justin Orenduff (2-7) was battered for 11 hits and eight runs in four innings, seven earned.
Every Omaha batter had a hit. Stodolka, Matt Tupman and Chris Lubanski each recorded three hits.
