A Shawn Garrett three-run homer in the ninth lifted Tacoma to a 4-1 win over the Royals Tuesday afternoon, completing a sweep of the four-game series at Rosenblatt Stadium.
Omaha took a 1-0 lead in the sixth when Brian Buchanan singled home Dave Matranga from third.
The Rainiers came right back to tie it in the seventh on a Victor Diaz home run. Diaz homered twice in Tacoma's 6-4 victory Monday night.
In the ninth, Jeremy Reed reached on a throwing error by second baseman Mike Aviles and Diaz walked. After Bryan LaHair struck out swinging, Garrett launced a shot over the left center field wall off reliever Neal Musser (0-4).
