Bryce Nimmo had four hits and four RBIs in the second game as Nebraska completed a doubleheader sweep of Texas A&M Sunday at Haymarket Park with a 13-10 win after rallying for a 9-8 victory in the opener.

The Huskers (38-9-1, 17-6-1) won the first game after scoring five runs in the bottom of the ninth with Mitch Abeita producing the go-ahead run with a two-out single.

Nebraska won two of three in the series and pulled to within 1.5 games behind the league-leading Aggies (42-10, 19-5).

Texas A&M led 9-4 in the second game, but the Huskers scored three runs each in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to take the lead. Mike Nesseth (4-1) pitched 2 2/3 shutout innings to finish and pick up the win in the nightcap. Shane Minks (4-1) took the loss with Nebraska scoring three unearned runs against him in 1 2/3 innings.

Jose Duran went 2-for-4 with four RBIs for the Aggies, including a three-run homer in the sixth.

In the opener, Nebraska converted three hits and two A&M errors into a five-run ninth inning. With the score 8-5, Cody Neer drove in two with a single. Nimmo’s fielder's choice tied it at 8-8 and with two on and two out, Abeita singled to center scoring Nimmo for the win.

A&M grabbed an early 2-0 lead, but DH David Stewart tied it up in the second with a two-run homer. Stewart’s two-run double in the fourth made it 4-2 Nebraska before Texas A&M roared back to take the 8-4 lead.

David Jennings drove in five runs, two on a home run.

Dan Jennings (6-1) allowed three hits and no runs in 3 1/3 innings of shutout relief. Kyle Thebeau (5-3) was the loser, giving up five runs, three earned, in 4 1/3 innings.
