LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey is in Omaha to receive the 2007 Outland Trophy Thursday night at the Doubletree Hotel. Dorsey visited Boys Town Wednesday, meeting athletes and staff who just watched the Tigers win the national championship.

After playing under Pelini for several seasons, Dorsey is one of his biggest boosters.

It was a memorable finale for both Dorsey and his defensive coordinator.

He talked about what Husker fans can expect in the upcoming season. “I don’t even know where to start. He’s a great guy, he’s a tremendous coach. He’s a great leader. He comes out with a great scheme. When I knew he was coming back for another championship game, I wasn’t surprised ‘cause that’s the kind of guy he is. He’s gonna finish what he started. He puts his heart and soul into everything that he does.

Dorsey, who will most likely be one of the top picks in the NFL draft says that coach Pelini has been a major influence in his life . “He told me he was proud of me and I’m proud of him. He’s a big time influence. He helped me get to where I am today. He’s done a lot for LSU and I know he’s gonna do tremendous things for the the University of Nebraska.”
