Wednesday night’s rain out forced College World Series fans to come back in the morning for the start of the South Carolina-Kent State game, the first of three to be played Thursday at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. Some fans may have been confused or left out due to the schedule change.

The sunny, summer day was a stark contrast to the clouds and rain Wednesday night. Tom Yingling and his friends traveled from Ohio for the action. They said there was some confusion when the game was postponed.

"About the only thing that's frustrating is when they scanned the ticket they said you're good for tomorrow and when we got down to the bottom of the stairs people that were coming down said you have to go back and have them write something on it and we had to fight through the crowd to get back to the top."

After the night game was postponed, fans in general admission were told to get their tickets stamped so they could return in the morning. "I don't really understand their process, how it works,” said Dennis Long, also from Ohio. “I know they scan it. I don't really understand what the scanning thing is all about and how you unscan it and rescan it."

The NCAA said even though some may not have received a stamp, ticket takers were told to be flexible with fans who returned Thursday morning.

“You guys were in last night?”

“Yeah.”

“You're good, thank you."

“It's my first College World Series and I'm having a blast."

South Carolina defeated Kent State 4-1, eliminating the Golden Flashes.
