A week after moving back into The Associated Press Top 25 College Football Poll, the Huskers dropped back out Sunday following their 34-23 loss to Minnesota.

Nebraska was 25th despite having a bye week. NU also fell from the USA Today coaches poll after being rated 21st a week ago.

Baylor climbs to number five in both polls, its best ranking in 60 years. The Bears beat Kansas 59-14 and moved up a spot after Missouri took its first loss. The only higher ranking for the Bears came in November 1953 when they were third.

The top four teams all put on impressive displays Saturday to keep their spots. No. 1 Alabama received 55 first-place votes in the AP and 56 in USA Today after beating Tennessee 45-10. No. 2 Oregon got three first-place votes in the AP (six in USA Today) following a 42-14 victory against UCLA. No. 3 Florida State pounded North Carolina State 49-17 and drew two first-place votes from the media panel. No. 4 Ohio State handed Penn State its worst loss in more than a century, 63-14.
