Huskers vs. UCLA
Get you calendar out. Times have been announced for three more of the Husker match-ups this season.
The Big Ten Conference and Big Ten Network have announced that the South Dakota State-Nebraska football game in Lincoln on September 21 will kick off at 2:30 p.m. and be televised on BTN.
Game times also were announced Monday for Nebraska home games against Illinois and Iowa. The October 5 game against the Illini and the November 29 game against the Hawkeyes both will start at 11 a.m.
On the near horizon, the Huskers are tuning-up for the biggest showdown of the non-conference schedule as they prime the engines for the showdown with UCLA this Saturday in Lincoln.
Nebraska coach Bo Pelini doesn't mind if his Huskers have some extra incentive going into Saturday's game against No. 16 UCLA.
Last year, the Huskers lost 36-30 in Los Angeles and gave up 653 yards - the second-most ever against a Nebraska defense.
Pelini said Monday he's sure his team is always motivated.
The No. 23 Huskers said they were caught off-guard by the 2012 Bruins, who had a new coach in Jim Mora and new quarterback in Brett Hundley.
Senior defensive back Ciante Evans said besides Ohio State's Braxton Miller, Hundley is the best quarterback he's faced.
Check the game notes. There's plenty in there to chew on for the rest of the week.
