When inspectors visited Spaghetti Works in the Old Market on November 1, they found 25 violations. 10 of those were considered critical.
Inspectors wrote that employees must wash hands during the food prep and that the use of a common towel for hand drying/wiping is prohibited. Inspectors also found foods that exceeded 7 days old. They told the restaurant to discard ground beef and three pans of lasagna.
In addition, there was no sanitizer in the dishwasher.
Inspectors did make their way back three days later and the number of critical violations went down, but they still found problems with employees washing their hands and sharing the same hand towel.
WOWT 6 News made several attempts to speak with managers – but they never returned our calls.
