Zemog's appears to have a problem with bugs, according to Douglas County Health inspectors.
When inspectors stopped by the 109th and Q Street location in July, they noted a live cockroach on the wall, above the food prep table. The cockroach was one of six critical violations.
When inspectors returned a week later, they updated their report to show only two critical violations.
In August, inspectors visited the Zemog's location at 114th Street. Inspectors noted cockroaches were found. When they returned in September, the cockroaches had been taken care of; however, inspectors noted that fruit flies were found in the restaurant.
In a statement, the manager said, "In the food service industry it is standard practice to have a pest control expert under contract to perform monthly service. Zemog's has a pest control expert under contract. After reviewing the inspection I contacted our pest control expert and escalated the service to every week. This corrected the problem. "
