Hi everyone. Well it's been a good week…I think. My husband, my family and my church are really encouraging me. Thank you all for posting comments to my blogs it really blesses me so please keep it up. I went to the store last night and did what was suggested to me by the Alegent team to "Shop the perimeter" of the store where the fresh living food is. I think I did well. I found what I was looking for and even saved some money. Today my husband went with me and as we shopped I realized "Hey we're shopping the perimeter without even thinking about it!" What was also exciting about that was we were actually shopping for snacks for our weekend get away (which I am actually on right now). Changing the way you think is really not that hard once you get to a place where change is what you really want to do. I have attached a short video of my first week, in it you will get to meet my constant companion Pastor Bruce. (I call him PB). Later on you'll meet all of my precious friends and family. In the mean time we're off to dinner and a movie. Shall I tell you next week how I did? I'll think about it……J

Pastor Pat, continue to think about what you think about and change in inevitable. It is so awesome that you are are the living word of God. Continue to be an example for others and stay encouraged. In the process you will glorify God and edify others.

Great job Pat! Glad to hear you're making progress! Change is never easy especially when you've been doing or thinking a certain way for a long time! Keep up the good work! Can't wait to hear how the weekend went!

You are such an inspiration to me, even more so now, you put your mind to do something and you do it. You were so right when you said it is easy to switch addictions. I have become a woman who eats for something to do not because I'm hungry. So starting Monday I will be watching when and what I eat. Thank you for the encouragement. And I know you will come out a victor no matter what.
