Truck Sales Pick Up

Fueled by competition and buyer incentive packages, big trucks blew past passenger cars in sales last month. Ford, Chevy and Toyota all reported increases in sales of their full-size trucks and that's only the beginning of the good news.
Trucks are typically among the most profitable models to come out of Detroit so an uptick in sales is a boost to the big three's overall profit margin.
Ford reported a 30 percent increase in sales of their F-series trucks. General Motor's two full sized models, the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra also posted gains. Toyota says sales of its Tundra were up by 90 percent thanks to buyer incentive programs that come in the wake of their recall.
