Frank Brown is a Democrat running in the nonpartisan contest to represent District Two on the Omaha City Council. Brown is running for reelection. He has held the seat since 1997.
Brown is counting on experience to lead him to his fourth term.
"You have to have experience to know, okay this will work, this won't work, what we tried in the past," he said after announcing his reelection bid in early February.
Brown said his knowledge and nearly 12 years in city government will help him help the city and his district in tough economic times.
When the councilman addressed a question about crime, he said many candidates are saying that curbing the violence is their top priority. Brown says the council cannot curb the violence, but it can work with other groups and organizations to address the problem.
