Heartland Child Development in Council Bluffs will grow the grant money to pay for kitchen and playground equipment in a new, larger location so more children can take part in the early childhood programs.
The Bullying Stops Here effort will sell pink T-shirts to grow the money.
Other winners include Nurses for Autism. The group will raise money to help the growing number of affected children have positive experiences in the heartland and throughout Nebraska.
A local church plans to Pay It Forward for the Watoto Children's Ministry. The children's tour raises money for orphans in Africa.
Carolyn Cook is another recipient. She and the group behind Youth Work Camp will use the grant to bring teen volunteers to Omaha.
