It’s normally a favorite place to be to get a burger, fries and a shake. Early Wednesday morning, a Zesto store was the scene of a break-in. A surveillance camera managed to snap a few pictures.
A man entered the Cherry Hills Zesto near 103rd & Blair High Road at 3:25 a.m. Owner Rick Minturn tells Channel 6 News the man was in the store only two minutes and left with nothing.
However, the suspect caused $500-$1,000 in damage as he entered the business through the drive-thru window. Minturn suspects the same man was responsible for a burglary in mid-December when someone broke in the same window and stole “quite a bit” of cash. This time, the money wasn’t there.
There was also a burglary in December at the 30th Street Zesto store in Florence. In that incident, the burglars got away with nothing because the alarm sounded when they entered.
If you know who is responsible, please give the Douglas County Sheriff's Department a call at 402-444-6000.
