Worker Injured In Fall Down Elevator Shaft
A demolition worker suffered serious injuries after falling down an elevator shaft in downtown Omaha Thursday morning.
Authorities say the 20-year-old man, whose name wasn't released, was working on the main floor of a building on the west side of the Old Market when he stepped back and plunged more than a dozen feet.
He was taken to Creighton University Medical Center for treatment.
