Finding a job can be tough in today’s economy, so it is important to make a great first impression. That’s why the Women’s Center for Advancement in Omaha is holding a two-day career extravaganza.
Wednesday, women could come in, pick out some career clothing for free and get a makeover. The makeover included getting their makeup and nails done. The women could also participate in mock interviews and take career readiness assessments.
The goal is to get the women ready for an Employer Career Fair that’s planned for Thursday at the College of Saint Mary from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Chief Career Officer Nancy Peck Todd says, “We want to make sure that women are prepared, practiced and planned for our career fair. To be economically self-sufficient, you have to polish what you’re doing to make sure they notice you.”
