A 24-year-old Omaha woman is in jail after she allegedly assaulted an Omaha Police Officer.
According to police reports, officers were called to 45th and Hamilton Wednesday morning around 2:30 where a car crashed into a pole.
Officers noticed the smell of alcohol on the driver's breath.
Jaclyn C. Ryder allegedly refused a field sobriety test and was taken to police headquarters. A small amount of marijuana and pipe were also found in her car.
While at police headquarters, Ryder became belligerent and refused to take a sobriety test.
While she was being handcuffed, she punched an officer in the face, fell back into a chair and then tried to kick the officer.
Ryder was booked for DUI, hitting a fixed object, DUI test refusal, possession of marijuana (less than one ounce), possession of drug equipment and felony assault on a police officer..
The officer was not seriously injured.
