Police and paramedics rushed to the area of 28th and Hickory early Wednesday morning on reports of a shooting in the area. One woman was injured and taken to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.
The shooting happened just after 4 a.m. Twenty-six-year-old Jessica Monjarez was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting was apparently the result of some form of altercation.
A man and a woman were seen walking from the scene after the shooting.
Police are still investigating and have not released any suspect information.
