It's a question most parents would ask but apparently not in the days after a burglary in Northwest Omaha. "You see all of these new TV's and you don't ask your kids where they came from?", said Shajuana Marion.
An estimated $4,000 worth of electronic equipment was stolen in the burglary that Marion says came a week after her daughter had a friend over to spend the night.
A juvenile suspect was arrested but Marion's property has not been returned yet. "He went to Northwest (High Magnet) with my daughters and my understanding is the girl who spent the night over here was his cousin," said Marion. The break-in happened just days after the sleepover.
Adding to the frustration and emotional violation, Marion did not have renter's insurance. "Everyone should have it, I'll never go without it again."
