President Obama took on the issue of cyber-security in a meeting with top business executives. Bank of America head Bryan Moynihan and Chase CEO Jamie Dimon were among those invited. Tuesday, Chase dealt with a cyber attack that prevented customers from accessing online banking.
In other White House news, nearly every one of the 500 employees in the White House budget office have been told they'll be facing furloughs. Four-hundred-eighty workers will be forced to take 10 unpaid days off between April and September because of spending cuts that went into effect at the beginning of the month.
Stocks gained on a report showing retail sales rose the most in five months.
Newly-announced Pope Francis appears to already be a user of social media. There is both a Twitter account and Facebook page under the pontiff's former name. Right now, there are just 56 friends on Facebook, but that's likely to change pretty quickly.
