Washington County Fair Starts Friday

There's a little something for everyone at this year's 96th annual Washington County Fair. The fair kicks off Friday, July 25th in Arlington.

Friday and Saturday begin with a rodeo at 7:30 followed by live entertainment.

On Friday, country group "The Casey Donahew Band" will perform. On Saturday, local band Fever and the Funkhouse takes the stage. According to the group's Facebook page they play Classic and Modern Rock, Pop, R&B and Funk.

Sunday there's a Mud Volleyball Tournament, a Backyard BBQ contest, Figure 8 race, Tuff Truck competition and Karaoke.

Kids from across the region will also be showing their livestock. The shows start with the goats, horses and poultry on Saturday. On Sunday they’ll exhibit their horses and sheep followed by the beef show on Monday.

Other exhibits on display include quilts, flowers, photography, and craft project.

The events continue next week with the antique tractor pull, pickup pull and garden tractor pull.

The fair ends Wednesday with the Demolition Derby and music by Lemon Fresh Day, a heartland "dance/rock" cover band.
