The Homestead National Monument is looking for volunteers to help count deer at the park later this month.
The annual fall deer survey will be conducted on Saturday, September 28th.
Officials say no experience is needed to help. Volunteers just need to show up at the education center at 9:30 a.m. for orientation.
Volunteers should wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and good walking shoes. The survey should be completed by noon.
The Homestead National Monument is located about 4 miles west of Beatrice and 45 miles south of Lincoln.
