Hundreds of walkers are expected to participate in the 3rd annual "AIM for the CURE Melanoma Walk."
The event takes place Sunday, April 27th at Lake Zorinsky in West Omaha.
The CDC says Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer in the U.S. It's the leading cause of cancer death in women ages 25-30.
AIM, the largest international melanoma foundation, funds melanoma research, provides education and comprehensive and accessible resources for patients, survivors, and caregivers. AIM has championed landmark legislation prohibiting minors from using indoor tanning salons and ushered in legislation requiring insurers to provide coverage for oral medication that is equivalent to conventional intravenous drugs used in chemotherapy. In addition to raising funds for research, AIM is committed to increasing awareness about this deadly disease.
