Visitation for Andrea Kruger, 33, the Omaha woman found shot to death last Wednesday morning, is going on until 6 p.m. Sunday at Reichmuth Funeral Home near North 216th Street and West Maple Road in Elkhorn.
An estimated 150-200 people were in attendance just 30 minutes after the visitation began at 3 p.m.
Funeral services for the wife and mother of three will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Stonebridge Christian Church near 156th and Butler.
Kruger was killed shortly after leaving work at the Déjà Vu Lounge at 178th and Pacific. Her body was found near 168th and Fort streets. Her SUV was found abandoned at 43rd and Charles Wednesday evening.
"I flew up from Florida to attend this because I had to be here," said Nick Modrcin, a family friend and former teacher of Kruger.
"We knew her from a bar that she worked at, we frequented the bar a lot, and she always just super kind and pleasant, and smiled just constantly, just constantly, and just such a, such a happy person," said Gary and Cathy Hammer, Friends.
Mixed in with the mourning, were emotions of anger and want for her killer to be brought to justice.
"It upsets me terribly and I hope they catch whoever the hell did it," said Modrcin.
"We hope they find them soon. Very soon," said the Hammers.
Anyone with information about the murder is asked to call the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department at 402-444-6000.
