Security video has been released showing two Iowa girls before they disappeared two weeks ago.
The cousins are seen riding their bicycles in the northeastern Iowa town of Evansdale, passing by an auction company. Those bicycles were later found abandoned at a nearby lake.
The FBI believes 10-year-old Lyric Cook-Morrissey and 8-year-old Elizabeth Collins were abducted. They haven’t been seen since July 13th. The parents of the girls are not considered suspects. The father of Lyric faces domestic assault and meth charges. Dan Morrissey goes before a judge Friday for a pretrial conference on four separate and unrelated cases.
Authorities have served a subpoena asking Waterloo TV station KWWL to turn over footage of interviews with the mother and grandmother of Lyric. The subpoena requests "raw video” of last week's interviews with Misty Morrissey and Wylma Cook.
The subpoena from Black Hawk County Attorney Thomas Ferguson says the footage is needed so his office can conduct a "complete investigation" into the disappearance. It says the station "may have knowledge" of a crime.
During the KWWL-TV interview, Lyric's mother Misty explained why she had stopped cooperating with investigators, saying she had been treated harshly by police.
